Bharti Group’s Telecommunication company Airtel launched 3G in India last year. Airtel 3G was launched in selected circles in India. Since the bidding prices were sky rocketed, so Airtel won 3G license in 13 circles. Airtel 3G was launched in September, 2010. Airtel will pay 123 Billion Rupees which is 2.7 Billion US Dollars. Airtel also participated in Broadband Wireless Auction, but because some reasons, it won BWA spectrum in four circles – Maharashtra in Western part of India, Karnataka in southern part of India, Kolkata in eastern part of India and Punjab in northern part of India.
